I love newborn sessions, and I love this shot.  A. requested it today during her newborn session for her baby born on Dec. 22nd, just a couple days before Christmas, and on the daddy’s birthday!  What a awesome Christmas/birthday gift, huh?

This maternity session with A. tonight was a lot of fun. She was willing to try some things with me that she probably never dreamed she would do going into the session, and this was one of them. I just love how it looks, like a chrysalis, with a beautiful butterfly under the surface just waiting to emerge.

You can almost feel the anticipation.

That’s what O. told me, hugging and pointing to her mommy.  She looked so proud about it, too.
