Some of you might be aware (if you’ve read my previous blog posts) that I’m a part of a charity photography program called Celebrating Adoption. It’s brought a lot of joy to my heart to be a part of it, and to give back by doing something that I love. Well, I’ve recently joined another charity photography program called Think Pink, which serves to provide breast cancer patients & recent survivors the opportunity to schedule a session with me free of charge. Here’s some information about the program:
Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a non-profit organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause.
Through our photography network, we are helping breast cancer survivors and their supporters to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions.
Through donations and various fundraising efforts, all profits from Think Pink Photography will be donated to The Beverly Family Foundation. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.
As Think Pink Photography grows, so will the opportunities for you to become involved and support this important cause. I encourage you to sign up for our newsletter (on the Think Pink website and Think Pink blog) and tell your friends and family about Think Pink Photography. Awareness is everything and we can’t be successful without you.

Today, I had the opportunity to do my first Think Pink session. This one was extra special for me, not only because it was my first one, but because it was for my friend Erin’s mother. C. has SUCH a great attitude, even though she’s undergoing radiation treatments 5 times a week right now for 7 weeks. And this is after she just finished chemotherapy! She’s such a fighter, and it makes me so proud to know her.
She was super bummed that she forgot her cute pink hat. I wish she hadn’t, she looks so adorable in it. But she seemed so comfortable in her own skin it didn’t even matter.

If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with breast cancer or is currently in treatment for breast cancer within the last 12 months, you/they qualify for a complimentary session. I can only offer 1-2 sessions per month, so please contact me to get scheduled.
